Omaha’s Authentic Cajun Experience.

Cajun cuisine, known for its spicy notes and heartiness, is a style of cooking that developed in the Southern reaches of the US after Acadian immigrants fled Canada in the 18th century. Inspired by rural French cooking, Cajun cuisine was developed by a population that lived off the land, adapting over centuries of cultural influences and geographical changes.

Spices are key to developing flavor…

Explore Arcadian Grille’s wide variety of dishes from Gator Bites, Crab Cakes, Boudin Balls, Po Boys, Gourmet Burgers, Collard Greens, Gouda Mac ‘n Cheese, Traditional Gumbo, Louisiana Smoked Salmon Dill Salad, Shrimp & Grits, Jambalaya with Sausage & Chicken, Bread Pudding and Blood Orange Crème Brulee.

Do you like spice? If so, this is the place for you! The 5 spices that are used in true Louisiana dishes are full of flavor and tasty. I really enjoyed the gumbo which had the perfect ratio of rice to seafood. It wasn’t too salt which I find at other restaurants with this dish. For my main dish I tried the catfish po boy which was also full of flavor. A lot of bread for the ratio of catfish. My side was dirty rice and beans, also very tasty. Highly recommend Acadian Grill for a true taste of the south. There is limited seating inside, very causal atmosphere and not good for large groups. I would recommend a party of 6 or less to dine in house. Plenty of parking is available in a shared lot.

OMAHA we have a new Creole place an it’s Legit! I’ve now been to the Acadian Grille multiple times and I can’t begin to praise this place enough. The decor is comfortable an the chefs are out in the open to watch. I have not had one dish that hasn’t blown me away. The boudin balls are what I remember from places in New Orleans. Their homemade remoulade sauce tastes fresh w a perfect bite. Shrimp Po Boy is on super soft but toasted bun an the shrimp are fried to perfection. Crab cakes also a win w plenty of meat. One dish I can’t speak enough praise which is the crawfish etouffee is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had.  I’m a fan of spice however will say this place is on the spicier side so if you are not a big fan have them kick it down a notch.  I do have to also say that not only at the people awesome that work there but they also let me bring my bully to lunch outside w me. So that is an immediate spread the love review of an awesome establishment. Keep up the good work!

Ok, I’m a cajun snob and grew up on most of the cuisine.  I expected to be reviewing my meal from the “well, it’s Omaha” perspective.  Well, my fellow foodies and Southerners,  Acadian is LEGIT. Abita beer, shrimp and grits, red beans and rice. The food packed a spicy flavor, but that was from perfect seasoning and not a “dash of Tabasco”.

From the time we walked in and I heard the subtle blues music, took in the casual ambiance and was greeted was with a warm smile, I felt at home.

Right around the corner from work, I’ll be here often to work my way through the menu.
